It only took me 10 minutes to get a knuckle painfully stuck between them, and I realized that these toys were much too dangerous for me. I threw them away, once I managed to free myself.

Imagine if I had a couple of 3 inch diameter, 1 inch thick, grade N45 magnets to play with. They'd probably kill me.

I was Riff Raff, and while people said my costume looked good, I was pretty disappointed with it. The spats were unusably crappy, and the wig I got with mine was worthless. However, I think the eBay seller I bought the costume from gave me a random, super-cheap wig rather than the official one.

But, in a dark room, it works out. I just wish I hadn't spent so much on it.

The small handful of people who will potentially read this blog may wonder why it exists. I already have one blog, albeit a strange and often dark one. The primary reason is that I feel the need to keep my internal reality separated to avoid contamination. That, and it would sort of ruin the mistique of Patterns in Noise if every other post was a link to a nerdy Slashdot article or goofy video of a rapping jelly doughnut.

The second reason is that many interesting blogs out there choose not to allow comments on their sites. This effectively moves the conversation out into the blogs of others. Basically, I wanted to be able to take part.

This seems to be where the Web is going, so I'm just along for the ride.

Also, the video is highly entertaining.
